Should i get a puppy when there is a rabbit in the house?

my rabbit runs around the house but if we got a puppy we would keep her in her cage unless the dog was outside or in the garage.Should i get a puppy when there is a rabbit in the house?
It really depends on the temperment of the puppy. The rabbit may be very scared seeing a dog for the first time and you need to keep in mind that dogs are predators and rabbits are prey. Perhaps if you limited the rabbit to one room in an exercise pen that would work well. If you got the puppy, you'd definitely have to keep the rabbit in the cage. That seems a litle sad, since it's used to being able to run around the house. I guess since you had the rabbit first, you should consider it's needs first. If you wanted a dog still, get an outdoor dog. Don't keep it in the garage though, it won't like that.
if a got a puppy when i had a rabbit i would put the rabbit in a spare room or keep it in my room and when the puppy was out side or not in my room i would let it run around in my room.
If you got a small dog and let it play with the rabbit it'd probably be fine. Maybe you can even take your rabbit to 'meet' the prospective puppy. I have a cockatiel and a toy poodle and the bird has a severe interest in the dog, always wants her to play, and the dog not only ignores him but avoids him- depends on the dog, and the rabbit. If you're planning on getting a dog over 15-20 lbs, it probably isn't a good idea, even a careful dog might not know his own strength. I wouldn't recommend keeping a dog outside all the time, incidentally. Put a fur coat on and see how you like the cold or heat.
bad idea, neighbors did that, and rabbit ended up dead(cage somehow was knocked over and open and the rabbit killed)
r u good at takeing care of animals!?
if you got a small dog and raised them together they might just get along
i wouldnt recomend it sometimes dogs get carried away when they are playing and might hurt the rabbit without meaning to
My small dogs would like nothing better than to have a rabbit run around the house. It wouldn't last long but they would love it. The rabbit was there first, do not get a dog.
