What is the difference between a rabbit and a bunny.?

Same animal, though I've heard ';bunny'; to describe a young rabbit from infancy to adolescence.What is the difference between a rabbit and a bunny.?
BUNNY:A rabbit, especially a young one.


RABBIT:Any of various long-eared, short-tailed, burrowing mammals of the family Leporidae, as the commonly domesticated Old World species Oryctolagus cuniculus or the cottontail.
the spelling - same thing. Bunnies are just a cuter way of saying rabbit. There's a difference between rabbits and hares. But, a bunny is a rabbit. Hence the phrase, bunny rabbit.
