How do you get a cat to not come into my garden and scare my rabbit and guinea pigs?

please help this STUPID cat keeps coming into my garden and scaring my pets how can i stop it from doing this?? (please be seriuos)How do you get a cat to not come into my garden and scare my rabbit and guinea pigs?
You can get repellant for that that smells like large predators and put it around the perimeter of your garden, antifreeze will kill the cat and he may belong to someone.

Get a spray bottle or water gun to spray the cat, you may want to also fill it with a no scratch cat product because they smell or taste bad to cats.

Garden and home stores sell it, not all though call to find out.How do you get a cat to not come into my garden and scare my rabbit and guinea pigs?
Unfortunately there is not a lot you can do. If you know where the cat lives, you can go and talk to the owners about keeping their cat under supervision.

If its a stray or you don't know where he lives, just get the garden hose out and use it a few times. Hopefully the cat will get the idea. He could be a hunter and not be deterred very much. Can you put another larger fence around the rabbit pen to enclose it more - sorta like a very large dog run?
Calling animal control would be one way to take care of it.

If the cat does belong to someone, the fear of having lost their cat (and possibly the added sting of a fine being paid for the cat not being kept in it's own yard) will hopefully be enough for the owners to start keeping their cat inside.

If the cat is a stray, it will hopefully be adopted by someone who will care for it properly.

Aside from that, I have found that most stuff that annoys a cat enough to keep it away will also be a bother to others in the area - humans and small critters alike.

While it is true that some cats are offended by the smell of citrus, it needs to be pretty strong to have any effect - outside, it will be very diffused. And, just for the record, my cat actually runs to me when he sees me eating an orange. He always eats one section - and loves them.

The sprinkled smell of a preditor's urine is likely to cause just as much fear in your small critters as it would in a cat - maybe more.

Also, if the cat knows your critters are out there, it is going to try to get in. It will not just give up.

You could try getting a couple motion sensored sprinklers and have them pointing out, away from your caged area. They turn on when something comes near the area. (and can be directed as you like, or turned off if you want) Havahart is one brand that you can find online.

Good luck to you and your critters!
Let the rabbit and guinea pig do some sit ups to build some upper body strength and let them handle it.

But foreal tho yes cats are stupid and everytime it comes in you yard spray it with a waterbottle is what i heard other people have done. I used a waterhose cuz it not only wets them buts hurts em and he got the point on the 2nd try.
citrus will deter the cat and not harm your pets, either. seiously, line a few oranges or grapefruits or lemons around the garden perimeter and you should be good to go ... keep the hose handy, just in case.

*** my cats won't even touch chicken / IF it's cooked with lemon juice or citrus of any kind :)

never expected that.
There is quite a few ways you can deal with cats coming into your garden.

- You can get a special machine that makes a noise to scare away the cat (and only the cat) visit:http://www.primrose-london.co.uk/cat-deterrents-c-102.html?source=googleads%26amp;gclid=COOj66HbgpsCFaAU4wodoCrrsw

- Or if you see the cat spray water on it to scare it away!

- Or the last option is to put something down that the cat doesn't like!

Hope that answers it?
You can't do anything because a cat have the right to freedom.
HEY! don't call cats stupid!

cover the cages at night and then they can't see each other.

and btw ... how do you KNOW they are scared??? they may just be friends (my cat has them) and are visiting!
Spray it with the hose. Cats hate water, and won't come back. Plus it won't hurt the cat at all.
