That's a very difficult thing to put a number on. There is a video on Youtube of a guy killing a 200 lb wild hog with a .177 air rifle with a shot to the brain.





Perhaps you should rephrase your question to let people know what it is you are trying to do. Are you trying to decide what gun to buy, or are you trying to decide if the gun you have is adequate?





A .22 LR can retain over 100 ft/lbs at 150 yards with the right load, but I wouldn't hunt yodel dogs with a .22 unless I was taking head shots at less than 25 yards.
