Why does my rabbit cover up the hole?

i think my girl rabbit just gave birth in a hole, but then she covers up the hole with dirt and never touch it again. what do you think? Why does my rabbit cover up the hole?
They do touch them again dont worry, domestic rabbits that are bred outside commonly cover the hole over after they give birth to protect the babies, when the mother feeds the babies (only once a day, so dont be concerned if you dont see her feeding) she uncovers the hole, then when shes finished, she recovers the hole :) if you are really concerned, you could put a sprinkle (only a tiny bit, just so you can tell its there) of flour over the hole, if the flour isnt visible when you check in the morning, you know the mother is feeding, if its still there, you know shes not feeding and the kits will dieWhy does my rabbit cover up the hole?
Thanks for best answer :D Did you try the flour thing??? :)

well? take the dirt out of the hole! no way a baby could live in a hole covered with dirt!
